Samsung fans can now pre-book the Galaxy S III for Rs. 2,000 from the official Samsung Store in India
The much awaited Samsung Galaxy S III is now available for pre-booking in India, via Samsung’s official online store. Those looking to get this phone will need to pay Rs. 2,000 as the pre-booking amount while the remaining amount will have to be paid at the time of launch.

Samsung has not revealed the price of the galaxy S III to Indian consumers yet, but it’s expected to be carry a price tag of Rs. 38,000 in India. Samsung has also offered a free Bluetooth headset to all consumers who make the pre-booking.
Although the exact launch date of the Galaxy S III in India isn’t available either, there are some unconfirmed reports that claim the phone might be launched around the 31st of May. Those who decide to pre-book the phone, can opt to receive updates regarding the availability of the phone.
Samsung Galaxy S III is the latest upgrade to Samsung’s extremely popular flagship smartphone- the Samsung Galaxy S II, which was, at one point, being perceived as the iPhone killer. The new phone in the Galaxy series boasts of some extremely high-end specs that include a Quad Core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor along with 1GB of RAM, and the Mali-400MP GPU (the GPU is the same as one on Galaxy S II, but has supposedly been overclocked). All this power is packed inside of an 8.6mm thick body!
The display consists of a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass screen, capable of displaying a resolution of 1280×720 pixels (which works out to 306 ppi), along with 16 million colors. The phone features an 8MP rear camera capable of 1080p HD video recording at 30fps and features including LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, image stabilization, face and smile detection. There is a 1.9MP camera located on the front as well, which can capture 720p videos.
